SPORTS INJURIES
We’re passionate about helping you do what you love, pain-free and performing at your best.
Our team specialises in diagnosing and managing sports injuries affecting muscles, joints and nerves, particularly those involving the spine and whole-body movement. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or simply trying to stay active, we focus on effective recovery and reducing the risk of re-injury.

How we help sports injuries
Every injury assessment starts with two key questions:
- What exactly is injured and how serious is it?
- Why did it happen in the first place?
We don’t just treat the painful area. We assess how your entire body is moving and functioning, looking for issues such as:
- Weakness or strength imbalances
- Joint stiffness or excessive mobility
- Tight or overloaded muscles
- Movement or coordination problems
By improving overall mechanics, we aim to:
- Speed up recovery
- Reduce the risk of it happening again
- Support better performance
“Treatment is great at reducing the pain quickly and allowing me to continue training, often the next day”
Staying active while you recover
Complete rest is rarely the best solution.
Where possible, we help you modify training so you can maintain fitness and strength without delaying healing. As your injury improves, we guide you through a structured return-to-sport plan, increasing load safely and at the right pace.
We also support the mental side of recovery, helping you understand what’s normal during rehab and building confidence as you return to performance.
The injuries we commonly see
Contact Injuries
Injuries from impact with another player, equipment or the ground.
Once serious trauma is ruled out, we often treat:
- Muscle strains
- Ligament sprains
- Tendon injuries
- Joint irritation after impact
Non-Contact Injuries
These are the most common sports injuries and include:
- Strains and sprains
- Tendinopathies
- Nerve-related pain
We also look at contributing factors such as training load, biomechanics, technique and equipment.
Your first visit
Your initial appointment includes:
A detailed history – how it happened, your sport, and your goals
A thorough examination – movement, strength, joint and muscle testing
Treatment (when appropriate) – often started on the same day
We explain everything clearly so you feel informed and in control of your recovery.
“I find the sessions optimise flexibility, strength and control, key components for most sports”
Do I need a scan?
Most sports injuries don’t need imaging. If an X-ray, MRI or ultrasound would be useful, we’ll discuss why and help you make an informed decision.
Treatment may include
- Hands-on joint treatment and mobilisation
- Soft tissue therapy and sports massage techniques
- Dry needling or acupuncture
- Personalised rehab exercises
- Training and lifestyle advice
We regularly re-test key movements to ensure treatment is making a real difference.

When we may refer
Chiropractic care isn’t suitable as the main treatment for:
- Fractures
- Serious wounds
- Post-surgical rehab needing intensive gym-based supervision
If another professional is better placed to help, we’ll guide you in the right direction.
Sports & clinical massage
Our massage therapy also supports:
- Muscle recovery
- Mobility and flexibility
- Training-related tightness
- General tension and pregnancy-related discomfort
Each session is tailored to your goals: performance, recovery or simply time to reset.
